HSF welcomes Dr Michael Cardo as a Visiting Research Fellow

Michael Cardo holds a BA (Summa Cum
Laude) in English, History and French from the University of Natal and
a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge, which he attended as
a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholar. On returning to South Africa,
he worked first as a researcher at the South African Institute of Race
Relations, and later headed up the Democratic Alliance’s Research
Department in Parliament. His current research interests lie in the
political and intellectual history of modern South Africa. He has been
commissioned to write the biography of the late Peter Brown, the
national chairman of the Liberal Party in the 1950s and 60s.
